The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Sierra Leone, has successfully concluded two-day induction training for staff and newly volunteers. The training aimed to familiarize participants with the Agency’s mandate, operational procedures, ethical standards and roles in drug law enforcement. Participants actively engaged in sessions designed to strengthen their understanding of professionalism, teamwork, and commitment to national service. 

Over the two days, participants were taken through interactive sessions covering topics such as drug law enforcement in Sierra Leone, code of conduct and ethics, teamwork, discipline, operational procedures and community engagement strategies.

Facilitators emphasized professionalism, accountability, and the importance of working collaboratively with other security institutions and the public. The sessions also provided an opportunity for participants to ask questions, share expectations, and gain practical insights into the day-to-day operations of the Agency.

In conclusion, the successful completion of the induction training marks an important step in preparing staff and volunteers to effectively support the Agency’s mission in the fight against harmful drugs and illicit trafficking in Sierra Leone.
